POKOTABI / Furaibou
フウライボウ
In Shinagawa Ward's Nakanobu neighborhood, Furaibou pairs fresh fruit sours with lotus root steak, pasta, and evening set meals in an easygoing izakaya setting.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Freshly poured fruit sours infused with fig or sudachi citrus headline the blackboard specials at Furaibou. Alongside cold draught beer, highballs mixed from bottles lined along the shelves make it easy to match a drink to whatever mood strikes.
The food spans a wide spectrum, moving from small plates like pan-seared lotus root steak, fried eggplant in dashi broth, and deep-fried tofu topped with natto to daily changing pasta dishes. For a heartier dinner, dishes can also be ordered as a set meal with a bowl of rice on the side.
Arranged mostly around counter seating, the interior maintains an unpretentious atmosphere well-suited to a solo drink after work, while low tables and a private room accommodate slower, shared evenings. Closed on Wednesdays, the dining bar operates from 18:00 until 1:00 the following morning on other days, welcoming both dinnertime drop-ins and late-night nightcaps.
